Preparing gardens for (Roses flower) winter requires fall cleanup

Hard frost has struck, and it's time to get the gardens ready for winter. Flower bed cleanup can often be accomplished either in fall or early spring.
Say the word mulch and some see piles of leaves, other mounds of hay or woodchips, still others visualize mountains of manure, and some eye neat piles of compost.
I've always loved petunias. They've been a part of my garden everywhere I've lived in the world.

SHREWSBURY TWP.: (Roses flower) Bear statue stolen

A man stole a large hand-carved bear from The Flower Patch at the Markets at Shrewsbury in Shrewsbury Township last week, according to state police. The man used his jacket to conceal the bear, police said. The theft occurred about 11:10 a.m. Nov. 17.
